Dear Connie Rutledge Legacy Fund supporters,

We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during this unprecedented time.  After in-depth review of our options, and input from you, we have decided to cancel this year’s golf outing, scheduled for July 31, 2020.  This was a very difficult decision, not only since we know how much each of you enjoys this event, but also understanding the number of women we serve as a result of the outing, our largest fundraiser of the year which averages $45,000 of net profit.

Although many parts of our lives may seem like they are “on hold”, those impacted by ovarian/gynecological cancer continue to be severely impacted.  Especially those who cannot withstand the financial burden that comes with the expenses of treatment and many who can no longer work, but still have to meet the financial demands of daily life.

These women and their families you help us support are grateful not only for some relief of financial burden, but also for one less stress as they focus on regaining their health.  One recent recipient you helped support wanted to share this,

"With the stress of recovering from surgery and cancer, and the constant incoming of medical bills and usual bills, the financial assistance from The Connie Rutledge Legacy Fund was a huge blessing. Because of your assistance, I can take two large bills off of my list of things to worry about. Thank you so much for your generous donation! It is people like you who bring hope and relief when it is really needed.

To help offset the loss of income from our golf outing, we are excited to announce The Connie Rutledge Legacy Fund Giving Campaign with the goal of reaching $25,000 of donations.  Would you consider making a $100 donation to help us meet our goal?  Your support makes a real, lasting impact on those affected by these devastating cancers.

All donation amounts are appreciated, and for those donations of $100 or more you will be entered into a raffle that consists of one team entry for our 2021 golf outing (value $400), a pair of Green Bay Packer Tickets to the Dec 27 prime time game vs. the Tennessee Titans (value $290 or some would say priceless!), and various $25 gift cards.

Connie’s vision in 2010 has led us to supporting hundreds of women throughout our state with over $435,000 of support!  You share in this success now and in the future as we continue to serve our communities.   We will track and share our progress throughout this campaign until it ends on July 31 when we will announce our success and those who won prizes.

For those of you who have already registered for the event, you will be contacted to process your refund.

Our sincere thanks for allowing us to make an impact and please save the date for next year’s outing:  July 30,2021 at Mid-Vallee Golf Course!
